'What kind of hobbies do you have?' Oh, me? 'Online shopping....' I shop SO much online and got hooked ever since we moved to Alaska in 2013 because when you have no where to shop you get real cozy with Amazon and scoping out the best deals on the web. This Monday is famous for being Cyber Monday which allows us all to shop online for stealing good deals, make sure if you are shopping at work to hide it from your boss (make sure you delete your browser history before you leave today)! I am sharing some of my favorite deals and these are some awesome retailers that I love personally that not everyone else is sharing but they are SO bomb and have the best items for gifts, yourself, stocking stuffers, etc. Some of these retailers never go on sale, like Swoozie's for example. If you are unfamiliar with Swoozie's consider this Christmas morning because it is the cutest place ever. They do have store fronts around the South so if you get a chance to go into one you will be in heaven! They have everything you could ever need for a party, swell bottles, Oprah O key rings, clear stadium approved bags and legit thousands more. Also, two words... Brandy Melville. She is the best for basic, comfy, plain, but perfect sweatshirts, tees, skirts, etc. I don’t feel like she gets enough credit for how good her stuff is, she does have store fronts but if you have don’t have one in your area her line is carried at Pacsun. My list below is going to make it even harder for you to choose on what you want to get this beautiful Cyber Monday, sorry I'm not sorry though.

Have an amazing week loves!!

Vital Proteins \\ Free 5 oz collagen with any purchase over $75 (where my husband and I get our collagen that I use in my coffee every single morning)
Swoozies \\ 20% off entire order + Free Shipping (the cutest freaking stuff)
Brandy Melville \\ 20% sitewide
Amazon \\ 20-50% off assortment of things
RIFFRAFF \\ 30-50% off everything (secretly one of my fave online boutiques)
World Market \\ Save up to 40$ site wide + Free Shipping (so many cute house goods)
L.L. Bean \\ 20% off clothes and outwear
Club Monaco \\ 30% off everything (such good coats)
Cotton Citizen \\ 35% off full priced items (best basic tees and sweatshirts)

How has it been a month since I did a blog post?? WOW!! October went by so fast I can't believe it, we were in Hawaii for eleven days of it and I think that is what made it fly by. Here in Colorado Fall is in full swing and actually is just about over, at least here in Durango we barely have any more fall color trees, ugh. I wish it would have lasted longer but that just means holidays are just around the corner which is the best time of the year, for sure! I have recently gotten so many FP sweaters to add to my growing collection and scored so many good deals all from Macy's.  I wanted to share some that I have recently bought or ones that I love and keep in my cart at all times that are all UNDER $100. I personally think Free People makes the best sweaters e v e r. They can be pricey so I always try and get them on sale at Macy's or at NordRack because they always fit so dang good. Can we talk about Macy's real quick because I feel like no one thinks of that retailer any more.... or maybe that's just what I think. I seriously find such good sales and deals there it makes me feel like I'm stealing so I wanted to share these with you guys so all the sweater sales below are all Free People and most are from Macy's but a couple from other retailers. It seems like the selection at Nordstrom can get so over picked and the sizes go so fast that I never get what I want and Macy's always has so many sizes in stock I like to consider it my little secret online retailer. A lot of these below are an additional 20% off at Macy's with promo code SAVEBIG and the sale ends Tuesday so don't wait! See links and deals below.

Shop sweaters in order from IG story !!

1) FP 'Take Me Over' Oversized sweater  (I have this in White only $64 w/ promo code SAVEBIG)
2) FP 'Take me Over' Oversized sweater  (Pink only $48 bucks w/ promo code SAVE BIG)

The best way to wake up is to a SHOPBOP sale, I must say! So many great Fall pieces to sneak into your wardrobe at great marked down prices. They are offering 20% off your total if it is less than $500 and 25% off your total for orders greater than $500. If you are anything like me you constantly have a full cart at multiple online retailers and just keep adding and removing daily (serious confession). Lots of times I do this because I want to sit on things and think about if I truly need or want it. With this though lots of things sell out because I didn't pull the trigger ughh. With a sale like this it allows me to purchase things I wanted anyways with a nice discount so I can justify to myself that I'm saving money.... right?! Below are some items that I've had my eye on, have in my cart or have already purchased and wouldn't share unless I was in love with them. Especially the SPANX faux leather leggings, these are uhhhhhhmazing you guys and I just got them in the Bronze and Rose!! Scroll below to see my picks.

*you can shop everything you see below on the home page of my site just hover over the SHOP tab then click on INSTAGRAM OUTFITS*

Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey

I spent Labor Day weekend in Atlanta for a girls trip and the Alabama V. Florida State University football game and it was during the worst part of Hurricane Harvey. I felt horrible going off and having fun but, this was out of my control and now I wish more than ever I could be home helping my sister-in-law and brother with the demo of her mom's house. Her mom got over two feet of water in her house and its going to take months to make it livable again. In case you weren't aware Texas is my favorite state (duh!) and Houston is MY city.... that place is paradise to me. Maybe not to many but growing up outside of it, I love the 8 lane highways, shopping galore, amazing food, walking trails and the friendliness of all the residents. Seeing the destruction from afar seems unimaginable but getting pictures from your family of what they are experiencing hits even harder. I know each of us somehow have a friend, family member, co worker, long lost cousin, ex-roomate you name it who was probably affected so if you have been gracious to donate anything I want to thank you so much! I really wanted to share three opportunities that I am SO PASSIONATE about to give back to those who have months maybe a year ahead of them before they have a roof over their head again or any type of normalcy, pets included.

JJ Watt Houston Flood Relief Fund - Houston Texans Defensive End
Y'all his goal was $200,000 when he created his YouCaring website... Now he has collected over 29 Million dollars as of today !! That seems UNREAL. This man is so unbelievably caring and has always put the community first. As a Houston Texan football player and as a Houstonian he is so giving and his outreach has pulled in over $195,000+ donors. If you are able to help go here to donate !

Lucy Pet Products
This company has stole my heart and this is currently what our dog, Penni is eating. LPP is a family owned business whose mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and the euthanasia of over 80,000 cats and dogs per week in the United States. Their food is incredible for our fur babies and the president has been making and perfecting his dog food recipe for over 30 years. Zero ingredients are from China, manufactured in the US only and contains an exclusive prebiotic fiber which has breakthrough nutritional advancements for optimized digestion and gut health. Once you check them out you will want to switch your current food you are on right now because its such a good company. Check all about them here.

My Sister-in-Law's Mother's Home Fund
It always stings a little more when family is affected by a natural disaster or catastrophic event. My Brother's wife's mom was flooded out in Harvey and they have been working everyday to remove everything, clear out all drywall up to four feet and completely strip the house down to nothing. She had over two feet of water in her house and it is completely devastating. She is unable to help because she is too weak from just finishing up chemotherapy for her battle with Ovarian Cancer earlier this year and she is a fighter! I wish more than anything I could be helping them in HTX. She is an amazing single mom and my SIL has started a fund to help her get back on her feet. If you want to help please find her page here !! Check out some images from her house below.

The good Ol Nordstrom Anniversary sale….! I haven’t posted really anything about it because it’s been everywhere I turn from other gals but I definitely wanted to share my favorite pieces, some I have purchased and others are on my wish list. Everyone has different taste and it’s unique to see what each insta gal chooses to share with us. I had to include home pieces because honestly I love decorating, envisioning a space, revamping some bedding and adding a Mongolian pillow on every surface I can find. No joke, a few months back when West Elm was having a sale on their pillows (which actually isn’t that surprising) I went H.A.M and bought like 9 Mongolian pillows ha! But really, like 5 white, 4 blush and I also have the blue/grey ombre one that I am sharing on my Nordstrom Sale picks below. For some reason I am infatuated with how they feel soooo you could say it’s a problem. Something I found out yesterday chatting with the Nord sales associate was that they no longer do the Debit cards…. Did anyone else know about this? I have had mine for a couple years now but I love that its not a credit card and just pulls from my checking account.  She let me know that they only offer credit cards now so just FYI for any of you thinking about joining the Nordstrom cardholder club! ALSO, check out my insta stories today because I stole something from Nordstrom Rack yesterday and I’m V happy about it!!

1. Olive Floral Button Down So I have always wanted to splurge on a Rails shirt but could never justify it... now is the time to grab this one! The embroidery and olive are gorgeous together.
2. Zella Leggings High waisted, black, and on sale... need I say more?
3. Lacey Thong My mom always tells me I have way too many undies... but ladies you cannot ever have enough lacey thongs, am I right?! Hanky panky is the best brand out there, they stay in tact through the washer and never lose shape.
4. Side Tie Pullover Okay I love Sincerely Jules but her line is on the more expensive side so I love grabbing her pieces on sale... this one is so stinkin cute. Y'all know I wear that grey front criss cross tie pullover sweater all.the.time.
5. Whiskey Suede Sandal I have a feeling this whiskey color will be a Fall favorite... so rich. I ordered these in my normal size but they are in CO so I will try them on when I get home soon!
6. Herringbone Duvet Cover I snatched this beauty up in White for our master bedroom and cannot wait to get back to CO to throw it on the bed. I am doing a revamp of our bedroom since I really have left it last in decorating since we moved but a BEFORE and AFTER will be coming to the blog before the end of the year.
7. Mustard Skirt This color every Fall is my go to (besides olive) and the fact it is velvet AND pleated... autumn dreams.
8. Velvet Bomber Bombers are so flattering since they are cropped and this color is stunning with the quilt detail... heart eyes!!
9. Frame Jeans There are so many designer jeans that everyone has their go to brand... and FRAME is mine. If you haven't splurged... now is the time. These aren't technically part of the #NSale but just went on markdown so I had to include them.
10. Picnic Basket My husband and I always say on nice days we want to go have a picnic by the river and this is the cutest one I've ever seen... it pretty much could double as a handbag!
11. Candle Something you can never have enough of... plus a little secret of mine is I always save all my pretty candle holders and put succulents in them.
12. Teddy Bear Bomber  Another bomber....I must like them. The texture on this one is so cozy and the neutral color will go with just about anything.
13. Diffuser Even if you burn scents just for the smell this little collection is a lovely choice since they are pretty to display in main living areas and not just in a corner.
14. Cognac Booties My current cognac booties are ready to be retired and these
beauties will take their place for sure.
15. Boho Pillow a pretty and colorful addition to your office space!
16. Ombre Pillow So I explained how I went overboard on Mongolian fur pillows not long ago and yes this one sits on my living room couch... she's so pretty
17. Pineapple Float I just texted my mom to tell her to buy this right meow for their pool in TX... Summer vibes.
18. Bath Towel Is it just me or have we all ruined our bath towels from snagging, bleach spots, pilling etc.? These are a Nordstrom bestseller and part of the sale so I ordered 4 for the guest bath and 4 for the master... its time for some new ones!
19. Luggage Tags Such a good gift idea.... for yourself.... I mean a friend.... hehe

Real Life Multitasking... The Struggle Within

Real Life Multitasking... The Struggle Within

Okay, I'm talking about my overwhelming schedule with working a full time job, a weekend job, and keeping up with instagram, my website, posts, engagement, consistency, and just LIFE. Adulting has never felt more out of hand in my life than right now. Honestly.... I feel like I need to talk about how much people don't realize that posting everyday on multiple social media platforms and staying engaged with your blog, instagram, snapchat, twitter, insta stories, etc. is  D R A I N I N G. I laugh because I am so new to this and feel like I am already falling behind, to all of you gals who are insta influencer queens AND have a full time job please treat yourself to some foyo because this is no small task. I think a lot of people think that posting pretty pictures and tagging outfits is easy which okay that does sound easy but its so much more work, time, effort, and brainstorming than you would imagine. Trust me I am learning this as I go... which is probably very relatable to many other girls. I don't think I would be writing this if I had not come back to Alaska for the Summer to work full time but I have, and not just one job, but two. Im very happy to be here short term and for my opportunities and glad it has showed me a new side of how multitasking in life is normal, people do it all the time, with kids and jobs and relationships. I work my 'big girl job' as I like to call it M-F, 8-5 then I work at a cidery every Saturday and Sunday. Time is sure flying and I'm having loads of fun so its very fulfilling... BUT, with all thats going on I'm like SH*T I haven't posted content in like 2 weeks... which mind you, is forever in this niche.

While in Alaska my time (AKST) is much different than the other zones in the Lower 48, when it is Noon here it is 1 PM PST, 2 PM MST, 3 PM CST, and 4 PM EST so I have been relying on posting at 9AM-ish my time to try and hit everyone... which I don't think is really working out for me. I think I am going to adjust, maybe post at 4 PM AKST and see if that helps with my engagement. On top of that, isn't it crazy how much you find yourself relying on others or how much people really help you out when you are put in a different setting that makes you realize exactly that. That kind of sounded confusing... whoops. What I mean is times where your faced with something that's not readily available like it usually is makes you stop, think and admire what that person is doing for you. I've had my moment while being here and WOW my husband does so much for me. It's not like I did not know this before but it lets you respect it even more. I appreciate him everyday and now more than ever! He is not here with me... which bums me out so bad because he is always snapping my candid pics. He is my photographer, my right hand, my support, my motivator and best friend. We aren't professionals at this (that's for sure) but we have so much fun shooting looks or snapping iPhone pics when we are out. I feel that I have been striped of that while here because I can't have that everyday. I keep feeling like I want to share what I'm wearing to work everyday because I really think y'all would enjoy it and its different look of what I've posted in the past or more routinely. I find myself getting home and being like O.K. I could take a selfie OOTD... but y'all know its never the same or near as good. So that has really been bugging me.

Getting my insta pics is something I knew would be a struggle when I chose to come up here for a couple months but I'm just realizing first hand how much harder it is to do this with no one but yourself. Here I find myself laughing again because this is not a 'job' for me, in the aspect of earnings, I make no money.... I'm not monetizing anything. My ultimate goal is to make it on LiketoKnow.it so Im really eager to achieve that but it's also so fun for me, I purely enjoy sharing my looks with the world, I want to show y'all how I pair an outfit, and it just comes natural to me so I love, love, l o v e it! I sure hope one day I can earn some money because how awesome would be doing what you love and being able to have date night with your earnings! I am finding the market is so saturated and it just takes that extra special content or networking to fully get there. I'm trying to be as real as I can because thats what is most relatable to y'all. I love when I can appreciate a post from someone and be like wow I get exactly what you mean. I think its human instinct to relate with someone when your feeling stressed, knowing you could be doing better, exhausted or just out of touch it feels good to know your not the only one.

Ive been in Alaska for a month now and I am up here for about another month so Im already trying to brainstorm how I can bring content, outfits and keep up with my posts moving forward. A local photographer would be a good start (: HA!

Sometimes you just have to start writing exactly how you are feeling and dealing with life right now and thats what this post was... to let y'all know I love this so much and appreciate all my followers thus far!! I want to bring you more of me and felt the need to explain why I feel like I'm slipping currently.

I have had a lot of fun so far making things in my closet work for the corporate world again, like this two piece set, which is a crop top and skirt but V appropriate for the work place. Its no longer available through Anthro but I have linked some other sets (below these pics) that you can wear to work during the day AND to happy hour after (:
